Welcome to...

Boys Baseball
of Aurora, Illinois

Attention

Congratulations to LeBeau Health Club, champions of the Minor League, and Restoration Techs, champions of the Major League. We hope all the boys in our three leagues had fun and will come back to play baseball next season. Our 12-year-olds can continue to play in the Pony League in 2012.

Tryouts for the 2012 Starz program are on August 14 and 21. Check the Starz link for details.

Remember that the Fall League is currently signing up boys age 8-13 to play about 5 weeks of baseball, starting around the last week of August.

Enjoy the offseason, and tell your friends about the fun they can have with ABB next season!

Boys Baseball of Aurora (BBA) was formed in 1952 as a “Not-for-Profit” corporation, chartered annually by the State of Illinois to govern and operate a youth baseball program for boys 7 to 12 years old.  BBA is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors. BBA is co-sponsored by the Fox Valley Park District and the City of Aurora.

There are no residency requirements to play in the program.  It is open to all boys in the area who will attain the age of 7 before May 1, 2011, and who will not attain the age of 13 before May 1, 2011.

The teams operate under the direction of volunteer managers and coaches from all walks of life.  Team managers are selected and monitored by the Board of Directors, and each team manager selects his own coaches.  Every year there are usually several openings for team managers.  Anyone interested in becoming a manager should complete our online Manager Application Form.

BBA is organized into three leagues:

In addition to the 3 leagues described above, BBA also offers Tournament Team competition from ages 9-12. This is a tremendous opportunity to participate at a higher level of competition by playing in weekend tournaments, while still enjoying the chance to participate in our outstanding in-house league. The boys must participate on a regular in-house Minor or Major league team to be eligible. See the Aurora Starz section of this site for further information.

This site contains a lot of information about BBA and is organized by the topics listed in the blue frame to the left of this page.  Persons new to BBA may want to begin by reviewing the FAQ page, where answers are provided to our most frequently asked questions.  If you have questions about BBA that are not addressed on our website, please do one of the following: (1) use our Feedback Form to send us your questions, (2) call the BBA answering service at 896-2732 to leave a message, or (3) stop by or call Johno's Main Surplus at 65 East Downer Place, Aurora, phone: 897-6929.

The BBA Board of Directors strives to provide the best program of organized baseball possible for the boys of our community.  To help us achieve this goal, we welcome any feedback you have--positive or negative--about our program or this website.  For your convenience, we have included an online Feedback Form that you can use for this purpose.
